Course Details

The engineering degree is accredited by Engineers Australia. This means the degree will be recognized in 17 countries.

It has a flexibility of the common first year. During the first year, students from all disciplines will study the common core subjects. The core subjects might be different according to universities. However, it remains similar in most of the case. The subjects include Engineering Mathematics, Engineering Science, Professional Engineering Practice, Engineering Design.

Besides the core subjects, students are asked to choose a number of electives subjects. The elective subjects include,

  • Introduction of Civil Engineering
  • Introduction of Mechanical Engineering
  • Introduction of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, and so on

These elective subjects allow students to explore the different fields of engineering and will help them to decide which field of engineering they want to specialize in.

From the second year, students will learn about specialized courses in one of the fields (based on your choice).

The course requires in-person attendance. That is, you have to attend the classes and meet the attendance criteria. The attendance criteria will vary based on the university.

During the final year of your course, you will be asked to build a capstone project. The capstone project will determine the knowledge and skills you gained throughout the course. So, students should take time and make their final year project original and relevant to their course.
